Stock Issues

Stock issue 1: Granting students, faculty, and staff the right to carry guns is very risky for the environment. This legislation would not evoke safety but danger, because it is like handing a gun to a criminal with your eyes closed.

Stock issue 2: I believed that my proposed solution in creating tests, and making background check and payments to take these exams would discourage people from carrying guns. Even to those who are a threat to society would not run the risk of taking these exams, since they would be investigated by authorities.

Stock issue 3: There is no simpler way to solve this problem because crucial tasks need to be taken. Carrying a gun is a serious issue that is frightening to every individual and it is hard to find the right person to carry such a weapon. Short cuts to this situation, just makes it riskier to handle.

Stock 4: This proposal is practical and very time consuming. Any person would rather be safe than sorry and part of that is making sure they do not become victims of a school shooting. This method will lower substantially the crime rates at schools and monitor the criminals in society.

Stock 5: The unforeseen positive and negative affects to this proposal could vary. The positive effect could be that if a large number of people in the environment, not only schools, carry guns it could reduce the number of crime rates. In this case, criminals would not attempt to attack an individual because they are also armed and can fatally hurt them. The negative affect is that there is always a loop hole to the situation. A person can always master a plan that could destroy the proposal and influence other individuals, which would make the environment even more dangerous than it already is.

"Arizona Weighs Bill to Allow guns on Campus" by, Randal C. Archibold

In the article “Arizona Weighs Bill to Allow guns on Campus”, written by Randal C. Archibold, State Sen. Karen S. Johnson is supporting a bill that permits guns on school and college campuses. 15 states have already considered the legislation in giving students, faculty, and staff the right to bare arms in schools and college campuses. But these rights are limited to the ages of 21 and older.

Passing this bill would higher the risk of more violence in the environment and encourages a dependency on guns. Thus, if people are granted the right to possess a gun on school grounds , then they already know how to use it and should take various tests that would evaluate his/her personality. Anyone can be a criminal without knowing and if not they should experienced gun men. Also, various background checks are essential in order to see if that person has a criminal record or not. Once people met these qualifications, they would be weight listed until there has been enough information about that person who wishes to carry a gun.

Any person who can carry a gun is a delicate issue. So when people go through these careful examinations, it would not be costly for the institution who provide it but for the person who wants it. Hence, the individual would have to pay for these examinations plus their permit to carry a gun on school grounds and their permit to carry a gun. In this case, this would make it a lot more difficult for the individual to carry or own a gun. As a result, there will be a lower risk of criminal threats in the academic environment.
